What the role is
Manage the Corporate Accounting, Audit (external & internal), Technical Accounting, External Reporting, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury & FP&A teams and their functions
What you need for the role
Previous relevant, recent experience in a hospitality company; US, LATAM and EMEA experience a plus
CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
Fluent bilingual in Spanish and English – both verbal and written to Business level standard
Proven track record of managing large teams well and achieving results
Excellent knowledge of GAAP & IFRS rules & regulations and ability to stay current with future changes. Especially technical & partnership accounting
Ability to work with a wider inter-departmental team who manage all the departments of the Company to identify areas of improvement as well as organize execution in terms of their departmental P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, etc.
Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping & basic accounting (accounts payable/general ledger, financial chart of accounts, etc.) performed by a Corporate Accounting team.
Excellent knowledge of external reporting to shareholders, investors, lenders and senior management
Excellent knowledge of managing external audit process & compliance
Experience managing an internal audit function
Experience in international tax, reporting & compliance
Experience of Oracle and Hyperion a bonus
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Must have strong work ethics
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
