Segue Inc., a non-profit outpatient mental health facility that has been providing quality mental health services to the citizens of Jackson & Hillsdale counties in Michigan for over 30 years, is looking for a full-time Program Assistant for its Jackson, MI office.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

Our Program Assistant performs administrative office tasks that include : typing, faxing, scanning in our Electronic Medical Records system, answering calls using a multi-line telephone network, assisting staff, and greeting clients and visitors.

The Program Assistant also assists staff with due document lists, consents, and fee determinations and sends requests for records for social security benefits to MDHHS and SSA.

DO YOU HAVE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

• Verifiable High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to type 35 wpm with a high degree of accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Professional Office Suite is required.
• Experience working with electronic medical records preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and multi-line telephone system
• Data entry
• Experience in customer service preferred

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE :

• You will answer incoming and transfer calls using a multi-line telephone system.
• Greet our clients and visitors when they arrive, determine the nature of their visit, and announce to the appropriate staff.
• Operates fax machine / scanner / printer, assisting staff, sending, receiving, and routing faxes.
• Print or make copies of materials as needed.
• Prepares a list of upcoming documents that will be due for completion by staff
• Updates demographic information in the EMR and updates records with the Social Security Administration and Department of Human Services.
• Data entry and retrieval.
• Assists the Nurse Practioner and Therapists by scheduling appointments with consumers when needed.
