Job Skills / Requirements

To be considered for employment with Security Engineers, Inc., candidates must have the following required qualifications: 

 Be a U.S. citizen and able to work in the United States

1. Be a U.S. citizen and able to work in the United States
2. Be at least 21 years of age.
3. Have no felony convictions, no convictions for misdemeanors involving moral turpitude (verified by a fingerprint based criminal background check).
4. Supervisor or Managerial experience in a security field, required.
5. 3-5 years minimum experience required in a supervisor/management.
6. Be of good moral character (as verified by applicant-provided character references and applicant’s credit history and driver’s license record when applicable).
7. Be able to verify/explain all gaps in employment and not have been terminated from previous employment for other than honorable circumstances.
8. Be in generally physical good health, able to perform the duties assigned including long foot patrols/bike patrols/vehicle patrols.
9. Have a telephone or other reliable means of communication.
10. Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
11. Have a high school education or suitable equivalent.
12. Be literate in the English language and be able to read and understand written orders and instructions, complete standard forms and logs and compose reports that convey complete information.
13. Pass a required “Behavior Assessment.”
14. Complete required "Security training" and pass a comprehensive written exam.
15. Complete required "Armed Security Training" and pass a qualification course (Company provided training)
16. Must have at least one of the following: Military experience, Law Enforcement experience, or at least 3 years licensed through the ASRB, or other verifiable physical security with completed training certifications.
17. Be able to drive and work at two locations approximately 2 hours apart.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of security staff between two locations.
2. Ensure that all security personnel are qualified and certified to work based on the obligations set in the contract. This includes but is not limited to being registered with the Alabama Security Regulatory Board.
3. Required to travel to multiple site locations as needed for operational effectiveness.
4. Educate and train new Security Officers on a variety of tasks/posts to support the provision of services needed to meet the client’s requests.
5. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the physical safety of the sites.
6. Ensure that the physical and intellectual assets of the client are covered.
7. Coordinate information between security and the Site Director to facilitate duties/tasks for events and/or daily activities.
8. Recruit and interview potential security personnel.
9. Handle scheduling and payroll for both locations and special events.
10. Write and review a variety of reports to maintain communication between the security team and the client using different computer programs.
11. Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness and implement changes required for process improvement
12. All Other job duties that may arise.
