The Lead Accountant holds a pivotal role in overseeing accounting systems and processes, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in assigned areas. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prepare, review, and supervise accounting records, including financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.

Focus:

• Execute routine financial operations in compliance with established U.S. financial regulations, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and providing comprehensive analyses where necessary.
• Continuously assess and enhance vital financial control systems to meet regulatory standards and optimize internal control efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with key business units to deliver actionable financial insights and analysis, facilitating informed decision-making processes.
• Diligently prepare, assess, and interpret financial reports and subsidiary ledgers, providing valuable context and recommendations for improvement.
• Supervise and approve the work performed by accounting staff.
• Perform quarterly analysis and reporting tasks.
• Manage accounting responsibilities for both domestic and international relocations, including reconciliation and monitoring of relocation activities.
• Coordinate international relocation processes, including Expat and Inpat assignments, collaborating with Global Mobility, Payroll, and Host location contacts for cost allocation, intercompany balancing, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), US GAAP guidelines and large ERP systems preferred.
• CPA or similar professional certification preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with management at all levels.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to make independent decisions and meticulous attention to detail.
• Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
