Role: Aviation Maintenance Technician
Location: Kent, WA
Job Description:
· Search of an experienced A&P mechanic or an airframe certified technician with expertise in flight surface control and/or nacelle repairs.
· You will Lead a repair and overhaul work cell for Nacelles. You and your team will troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, clean, service aircraft components, equipment, and assemblies (Flight control surfaces, TR’s, Engine Cowls, composites, and mechanical components) per Customer/FAA/EASA requirements/rules/regulations and approved data. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures. Perform Part 145 maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and alterations to approved technical data.
RAA
· As a Lead, you are required to inspect and determine required Part 145 repairs, bill of material, and forecasted hours to complete a repair or overhaul.
· Use of CMM’s and repair manuals for determining bill of materials, repair limits, and documentation ref.
· Will be required to sign for work accomplished including troubleshooting, maintenance items, and ensure proper recording of all maintenance/repair tasks on company documents.
· Perform all tasks assigned by management.
· Properly tag all repairable components.
· Ensures that all repair work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revision.
· Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies.
· Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labour duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, acceptable parts or components are installed, and approved hardware or supplies are used.
· Responsible for keeping the work area clean, maintaining, or repairing company equipment.
· Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with other employees.
· Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
· Prefer a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P) preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.
· Must have a minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on aircraft or Part 145 repair station.
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
· Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
· Knowledge of troubleshooting acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education combined with one or two years of related industry experience.
· Technical knowledge and skills in aviation products repair.
· Should possess a strong technical background and confidence in their abilities.
· Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and specifications to competently perform their duties.
· Must be able to work alone, without direction, and with minimal supervision.
· Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams.
