Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle TN, Inc is Hiring a Warehouse Material Handler - Camden, TN Near Camden, TN
Specific duties will include, but may not be limited to:
POSITION SUMMARY
- Use electric pallet jack, reach truck and forklift to select customer orders, ensuring accuracy and proper staging of all orders pulled. Perform order fulfilment duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards in accordance with the highest possible levels of safety, accuracy and productivity.
- Check correct number and product type pulled
- Use hand held scanning equipment for order fulfillment as required.
- Repack and weigh any orders which require such handling when necessary.
- Report quality variances.
- Fills out all paperwork legibly, accurately, completely and turns in as necessary.
- Load and unload trucks in a timely fashion following current warehouse procedures and safety measures.
- Load staged orders onto trucks and complete shipping Bill Of Lading (BOL) as instructed.
- Unload trucks, verify accuracy of BOL and quality of product to be received.
- Receive donated product into inventory
- Check correct number and product type received
- Use hand held scanning equipment for product receipt as required.
- Move received products to assigned area of storage.
- Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a clean and orderly fashion by performing daily cleaning of areas as assigned. Charge electric power equipment batteries as needed and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, OTR drivers, and the public. Communicate in clear and professional manner.
- Assist in physical inventory activities (cycle counting, Y/E PI, etc.) as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
No supervisory responsibilities.
- Regular hours of operation are between Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- On occasion duties may be necessary, as well as responding to issues, outside of normal working hours (e.g., disaster response, community events, etc.)
- Travel between SHFBMT facilities may be required for meetings and vacation/staff relief.
- Occasional travel may be required within the service area to attend special events and/or meetings.
- Current driver’s license required; copy of current auto insurance; and clean MVR required.
- Demonstrated ability to use a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Quick Learner and a team player.
- Extremely reliable.
- Good oral and written communication abilities.
