Seascape Beach Resort is Hiring an Overnight Bell Person Near Aptos, CA

SUMMARY: The overnight bell person is responsible for welcoming guests and assisting with overnight operational needs. This person is responsible for breakdown of the guest bonfires and for assisting guests with basic overnight maintenance requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Offers assistance with vehicle doors and luggage upon guest arrival.
  • Assist guest with transportation when necessary.
  • Deliver guest luggage, packages etc. in a timely professional manner.
  • Complete all items on the daily checklist.
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments and personnel.
  • Must ensure the front drive and lobby are clean, organized and tidy along with the bell closet.
  • Delivery of various guest items throughout hotel as needed.
  • Coordinate and assist Front Desk Agents with relocation of guests when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other departments to insure quality guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assists with bonfires and the opening/closing of them.
  • Patrols property’s grounds.
  • Ensures all public access doors are locked.
  • Responsible in relieving the Night Auditor to guarantee that the front desk is never left unattended.
  • Answers phone with proper telephone etiquette as outlined in our Guest Services standards.
  • Adheres to key control policy and procedure according to set standards.
  • Adheres to and promotes the company’s Mission/Standards.
  • Assist with basic in room maintenance requests; i.e. toilet clogged, lightbulb replacement
  • Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
  • Follow directions, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, contributes to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to operate general maintenance equipment such as plunger, etc.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one or to a small group of people including customers and co-workers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Two year’s related hotel/Company industry experience and/or training.
  • High school or GED graduate.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and provide instructions, both written and verbal.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Outlook and Internet applications.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

  • Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
  • Valid California Driver License is required.
