Job Details
Description
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of conference group billings, monthly group business reports, beverage break downs, daily cash deposits and commissions, pasting owner group payments
- Answers calls from guest regarding billing group contacts
- Coordinates and manages billing process including gathering information from various department, process billing promptly, provide liaison chart progress of billing cycle and follow up with phone calls
- Devise and adapt work procedures so everyone works together in a consistent manner
- Have periodic Accounts Receivable aging meeting with sales and banquet managers to discuss collection strategy
- Assist with owner communication by providing owners accurate information regarding their account and/or billing questions
- Oversee construction and special project vendor and owner payments and reconciliation
Qualifications
- Knowledge in basic accounting principles, invoicing, and reconciliation
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer service skills required; ability to speak with customers face-to-face, over the phone, and email
- Strong communication skills and ability to work alone as well as in a team setting
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Previous hotel experience required
- At least 2 years of accounting related experience in an Accounts Receivable position
- High school or GED graduate
