Joining us as a Menswear Buyers Administration Assistant (BAA) is the ideal opportunity to launch your career in Buying within a fast paced and unique British brand located on the beautiful Cornish coast, proud of its heritage and with strong roots in the local community.

Youll provide administrative support throughout the buying cycle, exposing you to all end-to-end processes, making sure we achieve our sales and profit targets. Youll be confident in talking to internal and external people and understand the importance of keeping all company business confidential.

*Please note this role is primarily based in one of our head office locations (Falmouth or Redruth) with occasional remote working.*

**Youll help us by;**

* Updating and driving the Product Calendar and Critical Path, ensuring key dates are met by each function (Buying, Design and Technical)

* Managing the sample library by maintaining a tidy sample room and ensuring correct samples are available for business requirements

* Attending weekly progress chart meetings with the other functions to monitor the Critical Path and issue minutes

* Managing our supplier relationships, including chasing weekly updates

* Updating systems at all critical stages and updating regularly to allow other functions to complete tasks on time

* Assisting the Buying team in ensuring that correct sample garments/products are received from suppliers in line with the Critical Path, are logged in and returned or disposed of as necessary

* Ensuring the photography samples are arranged and arrive on time

* Being responsible for the correct presentation of all samples pressed, correct hangers and ticketing

* Acting as a link between the buying department and the rest of the business by monitoring and updating accurately all buying administrative systems and making amendments where necessary

* Ensuring systems are updated to allow for Purchase Orders to go on time and accurately.

* Researching competitor activity, undertake comparative shopping and write appropriate reports

* Providing effective administrative support to Buying team, ensuring filing systems are developed and maintained

* Support the Assistant Buyer with obtaining cost prices, fabric, and production minimums from suppliers, as directed by the Buyer/ Assistant Buyer, and input into the system

Proactive and self-motivated you will have strong administrative experience within an office environment and a real passion to develop a career in buying and fashion. Methodical and highly organised, youll be able to effectively juggle competing priorities and work under pressure to deadlines.

Professional and logical with problem solving, you will be confident in delivering presentations and have a positive and engaging attitude. Were also looking for someone with solid Microsoft Office skills, an ability to quickly learn new systems and experience of negotiation and running meetings would be advantageous.
