As a Retail Merchandiser, youll work closely with Buying and Design to develop, plan, and deliver a commercially focused range whilst driving profit and enhancing Seasalts brand position. You will create each seasons range, ensuring our product reflects Seasalt strategy, is without gaps or duplication and is logically thought through to exceed our customers expectations.

Youll manage the product sign off process to ensure appropriate product lead time in line with the Buying calendar and adhere strictly to the Critical Path. Youll also work with Buyers to develop a sound supply policy, striving for consistent best practice partnerships, foresee potential weaknesses and possible solutions.

*Please note this role is primarily based in our Falmouth Head Office with some remote working, subject to the individuals choice and agreement with the line manager. Further details can be discussed at interview.*

**You'll help us by:**

* Working collaboratively with your product team and wider Merchandising teams, contributing to department and category business strategy and development

* Maximising sales and gross profit through delivering a balanced, commercial, and profitable range in line with the brand vision,

* Managing product trading requirements to maintain the appropriate levels of stock in the department and categories whilst maximising product margin

* Developing and upskilling the Assistant Merchandisers, Allocators and Merchandise Administration Assistants through processes, structure, environment, and resources, whilst demonstrating best practice both technically and behaviourally

* Working with the Head of Merchandising to ensure seasonal and departmental budgets/forecasts are thought through by selling channel and analysed in context of historical sales and seasons still to be fully traded

* Maintaining a departmental/category level Range Plan that accurately reflects the planned buy levels and is in line with agreed budgets/forecasts

* Conducting weekly departmental and category trade reviews with the Merchandising and Buying teams to ensure bestsellers are quickly potentialised appropriately in current or future seasons

* Working with Buying and Design to appropriately plan historical bestselling product blocks and bestselling styles along with maintaining an appropriate level of newness in range builds and analysing product attributes during the range build process

* Maintaining an in-depth, customer-focused knowledge of market trends and channel performance

**The skills you'll be sharing with the team:**

Were looking for someone who can demonstrate a passion for product with previous experience of working in Merchandising. Youll have run and traded your own department and managed a team, ideally within a retail brand. You will be highly analytical and commercially aware with a strong understanding of our competitors.

Youll have a track record in building strong partnerships with other departments and your merchandising colleagues, utilising your excellent communication skills to confidently influence senior management and motivate others to achieve results.

Highly numerate and confident in working with data, youll be an advanced Excel user with excellent attention to detail. Your ability to perform under pressure and operate in a fast paced environment is key. As are your strong planning skills.
