Searchspring is Hiring a Remote Director of Enablement

Director of Enablement

Job Description

Who We Are

Searchspring provides e-commerce retailers with the industry-leading software platform for site search, product merchandising, and personalization. With offices in San Antonio, Denver, Colorado Springs, Portland, Toronto, and remote across the globe, Searchspring employees are dedicated to fostering an environment that enables everyone to thrive, both personally and professionally, and feel supported, engaged, and valued every step of the way.

Backed by a growth equity firm with extensive resources and expertise in helping software and technology companies navigate transformational growth, Searchspring helps our customers, like PuraVida, Fabletics, SKIMS, West Elm, Specialized, and RipCurl increase cart size, conversion, and repeat customers. Join us as we change the way the world shops online and achieve our mission to deliver the ultimate shopper experience.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in driving internal and external understanding, knowledge, and proficiency of Searchspring's product suite. You will develop and implement strategic initiatives focused on educating and enabling internal teams, customers, and partners, enhancing their ability to leverage our products to achieve their goals effectively.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience building out an enablement function that is focused on

empowering individuals and teams to achieve success and foster growth by providing them with the knowledge, tools, and support they need. We are committed to enabling our organization to excel by delivering comprehensive training programs, creating and maintaining a robust knowledge base, and offering ongoing support tailored to the unique needs of each individual and team. Through our dedication and collaboration, we aim to empower our colleagues to leverage their skills, reach their fullest potential, and drive our organization's overall success and operational efficiencies. And in turn, it will reduce our customers' reliance on our teams and promote self-service functionality that allows us to scale without adding net new headcount. Experience scaling a business from $25M to $50M in three years is a plus.

This position will report directly to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

How You Will Succeed

  • Internal Enablement:
    • Develop comprehensive training programs and materials to equip internal teams (sales, customer success, support, etc.) with in-depth knowledge about Searchspring's products, features, and functionalities.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify training needs, create learning paths, and conduct ongoing training sessions.
    • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of internal enablement programs, continually refining them based on feedback and outcomes.
  • External Enablement (Customers and Partners):
    • Design and deliver enablement programs for customers and partners to maximize their understanding and utilization of Searchspring's products.
    • Create scalable resources to support customer and partner enablement initiatives, including documentation, guides, webinars, and workshops.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop external-facing content that educates and informs customers and partners about product updates, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Enablement Strategy and Leadership:
    • Develop a comprehensive enablement strategy aligned with company objectives, product roadmap, and market trends.
    • Lead a team of enablement professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive excellence in enablement initiatives.
    • Continuously assess and improve enablement processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure maximum efficiency and impact.

Your Work DNA

  • You are a strong, articulate, natural leader, able to successfully motivate and challenge a team of talented and creative people at all levels of the organization.
  • You thrive in a role where the entire organization counts on you and your team to achieve their goals.
  • You are a data geek and think both strategically and analytically, and are disciplined about measuring everything you do.
  • You possess an internal competitiveness and natural curiosity to strive for improved results constantly.
  • You can build programs from the ground up and iterate legacy programs for continuous improvement.
  • You love the fast-paced environment of a growth-stage company and possess a scrappy, hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
  • You are both a player and a coach, willing to manage a team and perform a lot of the heavy lifting yourself.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 years’ management experience in an enablement or product marketing role, eCommerce, B2B and/or B2C, or digital agency experience strongly preferred. SaaS to SMB experience preferred.
  • Proven execution against performance targets and tracking and delivering on key operational metrics (new hire time to performance in role).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products and experience in crafting effective enablement programs for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving strategic goals.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure the impact and success of enablement initiatives through data-driven methodologies.
  • Highly efficient team player, able to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
