Scope of Position The Finance Department works as a team to ensure procedures and controls are in place to accurately report financial results, safeguard Seaport Hotel assets, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. The Accounts Receivable Administrator do many tasks to ensure prompt customer payments, including balancing and reconciling cash deposits, and processing billing and statements for customers and answering client and guest queries. Accuracy and exemplary service are the hallmarks of the Finance Department. Accuracy, controls, and timeliness are all key factors to success in this position. The Accounts Receivable Administrator regularly interacts with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Credit Manager, the Sales and Conference Managers, Front Desk, Reservations, External Clients and Hotel Guests and Management of the Seaport Hotel. This position reports to the Credit Manager. Schedule Requirements The operations of the Seaport Hotel are 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, inclusive of all holidays. This position is primarily Monday through Friday during regular office hours, although additional hours may be necessary based on business needs. Key Responsibilities Participating, initializing, and returning telephone calls with our meeting and events clients as well as our hotel guests primarily concerning billing inquiries Generating, validating, and posting of client invoices Participating, initializing, and returning telephone calls with our meeting and events clients as well as our hotel guests primarily concerning payment and collection Review, monitor and report on accounts receivable aging Preparing, recording, and posting receivable deposits Other duties as assigned by the supervisory and financial management team Responsible for practicing, managing and promoting our Company Mission and Values so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation. Required Job Knowledge and Skills Hotel or Accounting experiences preferred. Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word and Opera) Qualifications Experience: Entry level position. There is no minimum level of experience required for this position. Education: College degree preferred but will consider experience and post high school education. Language Skills: Fluency of the English language is required (read, write, speak) Must be able to listen to, read and/or write instructions, memos, short correspondences and messages.
