TheSales and Marketing Manager is responsible to develop leisure and groupbusiness for the resort through direct contacts and through partnerrelationships. For groups this willinclude contracting, convention services and all client contact. Leading the marketing strategies for theresort includes social media development and regular postings; creating,distributing and analyzing regular electronic communications and maintaining astrategic action plan throughout the year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Negotiate group and leisure business, guest room rates,meeting room rental, and hotel services that meets or exceeds hotel revenuegoals.
•Identify, solicit and engage new accounts through onlinesearches, in-person appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries viae-mail, phone and text.
•Develop strategic tactics to expand the leisure and groupclient base.
•Generate creative concepts and ensure efficient distributionof marketing materials.
•Network with industry professionals and event planners tomaintain awareness and drive bookings.
•Manage client accounts effectively.
•Maintain positive relationships with clients to encouragerepeat and recurring business.
•Secure and process payments as necessary.
•Address and resolve any satisfaction issues involving salesor marketing activities.
•Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor Degree minimum
•2 years prior sales and marketing experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Strong analytical skills relative to positively impact hotel revenues
•Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in  writing
•Strong understanding of revenue management  principles
•Ability to use reservation and revenue management systems todevelop pricing and sales recommendations
•Proficient in computer use, Microsoft Office products ande-commerce tools
•Experience with  IQware preferred
