Job Description: Catering Sales Manager
Responsible for soliciting, contracting, detailing and servicing Weddings and Social Catering opportunities as
Directed by the DOC with support from the DOSM. Manage catering account expectations and experiences to exceed guest satisfaction for every event every time. Achieve personal and team financial goals through upselling, pricing based on season and/or demand, and building relationships for repeat business when applicable. Showcase and promote all outlets and hotel features to all previous, current and potential clients.
Below is a partial list of activities and responsibilities associated with this position. Note that at any time these may be revised by the DOSM or GM at any time as business or clients’ needs dictate.

Your Focus:
● Continue to solidify Sea Crest Beach Hotel’s reputation as a premier and sought after wedding location through well executed events, positive word of mouth, and prospecting.
● Use professional selling techniques to build rapport, negotiate and close business within the financial guidelines provided. Ensure that all terms and conditions satisfy the client's expectation.
● Maximize opportunities for Wedding Revenue by strategically selling events into alternative dates/ patterns.
● Utilize Delphi to record and track all activities and communications with clients to secure proper and professional follow up, next steps etc. Utilize Catering turnover sheets and checklists to complete the sales, service and follow up phases successfully. Be present on property to meet and greet clients, oversee event details, support department team members as needed/required to ensure a smoothly executed event.
● Conduct walking site inspections throughout the property as scheduled or requested by the client.
● Assure clients’ needs and requests are being met through utilization of hotel communication tools such as Group Resume and BEO. Attend these meetings as Directed by DOS or DOC.
● Plan and conduct pre- and post-event meetings with clients and respective departments to ensure all expectations are shared and executed efficiently.
● Complete Resumes and BEO’s accurately to provide essential detailed information regarding food and beverage events, outlet and activities departments needs, rooming list requests, housekeeping requirements, billing details and deposits. Obtain all revenue prior to events.
● Perform other duties as requested by management
Your Background and Skills:
● High School diploma or equivalent preferred
● Previous hotel or sales experience required
Work Environment and Context:
● Work schedule varies and will include occasionally working on holidays, weekends
● Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate the keyboard.
