Scooters Coffee is Hiring a Finance Manager Near Omaha, NE

Location

This position is considered Office-First. An office-first employee is an employee within the Greater Omaha Metropolitan Area whose default work location is a designated office and has office presence at least four days per week, specifically, Monday through Thursday. An office-first employee may at times perform work outside of a designated office location based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.

Description

The Financial Manager will assist the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis with financial consulting and strategic support to the senior management team, playing a vital role with optimal decision-making in financial aspects of vertically integrated, consolidated business units, and the associated franchise system. Primary responsibilities include forecasting, financial reporting, analysis, process improvement, and project management. This role will contribute to key deliverables including board presentations, month end financials, capital expenditure analysis, acquisition analysis, the annual budget, subsequent reforecasts, operating plan variance analysis, and in-depth business unit financial support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, labor, expenses, and capital expenditures 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives 
  • Support cash and balance sheet forecasting
  • Perform in-depth analysis of P&Ls for supported departments and entities
  • Evaluate programs, pricing, store rollouts, and new projects 
  • Make recommendations for strategic decision-making and financial impacts across the company
  • Assist with the implementation of a new ERP and MRP system 
  • Consult with franchisees as needed on their individual financial models 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 
  • 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Advanced skills in Excel. Database experience a plus 
  • Ability to communicate across all levels and departments 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of engagement and collaborate with team members

  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues or moderately complex problems in creative ways 
  • Makes decisions within broad functional or department guidelines. May make some decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results 
  • Exercises independent judgment in determining how to achieve the results expected; typically communicates issues and progress bi-weekly or monthly 
  • May have some authority to make exceptions to policy and procedure. Decisions are subject to frequent in-process reviews
