Overview:

SCM Group North America is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for oversight of Accounts Receivables, Cash Posting, Banking and other credit and collection management. This is a management role which requires collaboration with Sales and other management peers to fully understand our order-to-cash processes and assure the AR function effectively supports SCM’s business overall

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the CFO, manages a team of credit and collections staff to assure AR accounts are maintained in an accurate and timely manner. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with Sales and other management functions to assure full understanding of key customers, dealer relationships and special customer account agreements.

• Supervises the credit and collections staff. Works to assure credit and collections staff is providing excellent customer service, maintaining positive customer relationships while successfully collecting receivables.
• Makes recommendations on AR strategy and portfolio reduction; ensures collections efforts maintain average DSO within assigned target.
• Monitors receivables data and communicates with sales management on risk analysis and mitigation, recommendations for write-offs, bad debt collections.
• Collaboration with other departments on improving order-to-cash processes.

• Responsible for day-to-day supervision of the credit and collections staff.
• Leads team to ensure all credit and collection weekly deadlines are met.
• Establishes processes to ensure timely posting of all cash and credit card purchases.
• Manages collections for Dealer Accounts.
• Manages banking relationships in regard to credit and collections activities and issues.
• Manages AR Aging analysis; maintains weekly dashboard report; conducts AR forecast.

Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting (or similar discipline) plus 3 to 5 years’ work experience in Accounts Receivable management; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong collaboration, problem resolution and communication skills with ability to build relationships with peer managers is a must.
• Must be well versed in AR processes such as: collections, cash posting, and reconciliation, DSO, AR analysis, reporting and the like.
• Skilled in process analysis/improvement
• Three years of Management/Supervisory experience.
• High proficiency in Excel required (V-lookup, Pivot Tables).
• Strong skills in building internal relationships as well as maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Excellent customer service skills, pleasant telephone demeanor, active listening, communications skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated skills in effective communication, listening and collaboration.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationally up to 10% of the time and occasional international travel.
• Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
