What You Will Be Doing:
You will provide sales support to existing customers as well as develop and manage new customers as assigned. You will be assisting the sales team with development and pricing plans and communicating with customers to determine their needs.
Your objective will be to increase product sales and market share within our product categories.
- Have a clear understanding of the end consumers’ needs and expectations.
- Assist in management of account development and retailer specific plans (distribution, pricing, merchandising and promotion) to ensure profitable sales growth.
- Provide ongoing account support to existing customers.
- Responsible for negotiating customer terms, pricing, discounts, etc.
- Develop integrated solutions for customer problems.
- Effectively manage promotions, mark downs, inventory issues, chargebacks, etc.
- Develop a deep understanding and stay current on industry and competitor trends and apply knowledge of marketplace to account/prospect planning process.
- Ability to create customer specific product offerings and pricing programs.
- Creation of business reviews.
- Responsible for overall customer satisfaction, sales and profit targets and achievement of stated account plan initiatives.
- Assist in the management of third-party brokerage/sales representatives.
Qualifications and Skills
What we need:
- BA/BS required.
- 1-3 years in sales and account management in consumer products, retail distribution environment.
- Proven track record of new business development, “opening doors’ and achieving/exceeding measurable sales goals and quotas.
- An appreciation and acceptance of established sales process.
- Strong strategic and visionary thinker capable of accessing customer fit with organization.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong analytic, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working across boundaries and through others. Persistent “go getter”.
- Must be able to motivate, manage and organize multiple third-party representatives.
- Able to travel for customer presentations and or attend trade shows as required.
