POSITION TITLE: Music Teacher (60%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• NH Music Teacher certification or proof of eligibility for NH certification
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Classroom experience or prior work with children preferred

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB SUMMARY: To provide all students with Music education that provides for their intellectual and artistic as well as social/emotional growth to reach their full potential.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning
• Plan and deliver Music instruction based on District curriculum and student needs
• Establish classroom procedures and manage student behavior in a manner consistent with child development
• Monitor student learning to inform instruction and document progress
• Coordinate with and support the UA team and other colleagues
• Communicate with students, families, and staff about the music program and events
• Collaborate with music educators to enhance professional knowledge and practices
• Participate in ongoing reflection and professional development for growth
• Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications to meet student need
• Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records
• Complete other duties as assigned by the principal

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the principal in accordance with DIstrict evaluation procedures
