TITLE: Custodian - 2024-2025 SY

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Demonstrates initiative and able to work without close supervision. 
• Possesses the ability to make minor repairs to equipment and building. 
• Manages time so that scheduled work and duties are completed daily. 
• Works collaboratively with others.
• Demonstrates flexibility with work schedule as needed. 

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor and/or Building Principal. 

JOB GOAL: To provide students and teachers with a safe, clean and attractive environment in which to learn. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Dry mop or vacuum all floors, spot mop and spray buff as needed. 
2. Clean bathrooms (sanitize sinks, ensure toilets, etc., be spotless). 
3. Fill dispensers as needed. 
4. All marks on floors and walls shall be removed. 
5. Clean and polish all drinking fountains. 
6. Empty all wastebaskets, dispose of trash. 
7. Clean and dust all surfaces. 
8. Keep all windows, doors and walls clean. 
9. Shut off lights and secure the building. 
10. Keep custodial area clean and neat. 
11. Leave a note for the Maintenance Supervisor, Building Principal or designee regarding work that is not complete. 
12. Make minor repairs as they are capable; Notify Maintenance Supervisor, Building Principal or designee of all needed repairs. 
13. Be available on call when needed.
14. Follow District policies and procedures. 
15. Perform other duties as required an/or directed.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Compensation and benefits in accordance with Bartlett School District Non-Contracted Personnel Policy. 

WORK YEAR: Full-Time, year round position. 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Bartlett School District Non-Contracted Personnel Policy provisions on evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
