We are looking for a PeopleSoft Data Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced individual who is hard working with the ability to excel in a challenging, fast-paced government contractor environment. The position location is Arlington, VA.
OVERVIEW
Key Responsibilities:

• Data Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity within the IPPS-A (Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army) database. This involves verifying data consistency, business rule adherence, and regulatory requirement compliance.
• SQL Expertise: Utilize advanced SQL querying techniques to extract, manipulate, and analyze data within the application database. Write complex SQL queries to perform data validation, comparison, and reconciliation tasks efficiently.
• Data Validation and Verification: Validate application data against source systems, external interfaces, and user inputs to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Verify data integrity during data migration, integration, and synchronization processes.
• Test Planning and Execution: Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to the system data structures and functionalities. Execute test cases to validate data inputs, outputs, and transformations, covering various scenarios and use cases.
• Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to identify potential impacts of software changes, updates, or enhancements on application data integrity and functionality. Verify that existing data functionalities remain intact after system modifications.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and prioritize defects or anomalies in application data systems. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to investigate and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
• Data Profiling and Analysis: Profile the application data to identify data patterns, trends, and anomalies. Perform data analysis to assess data quality, identify data discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to improve data accuracy and reliability.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed documentation of test results, defects, and testing procedures for the application data testing activities. Generate comprehensive reports summarizing testing findings, including recommendations for data quality enhancements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, subject matter experts, and end-users, to understand data requirements, validate data solutions, and communicate testing results and findings.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, security policies, and industry standards in all IPPS-A data testing activities. Adhere to data governance principles and protocols to protect sensitive information and maintain data confidentiality.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on IPPS-A system changes, enhancements, and updates. Continuously enhance testing methodologies, tools, and processes to improve data quality assurance practices and optimize IPPS-A data testing efforts.

• Active DoD SECRET clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a PeopleSoft Data Tester or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft modules, data structures, and business processes.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience in developing test plans, test cases, and executing tests within a PeopleSoft environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies is preferred.
• Relevant PeopleSoft certifications (e.g., PeopleSoft Testing Specialist) are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the scope of work; must be able to maintain current DOD Secret security clearance.
