We are looking for a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our team.

Position Purpose

Participates in a multidisciplinary team to develop, monitor and adjust comprehensive and coordinated care plans. Provides advice and counsel on food and nutrition to patients in individual and group settings.

Job Duties

  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team to develop, monitor, and adjust comprehensive and coordinated care plans
  • Assess patient lifestyle, nutritional, and health needs
  • Assist patients in the development specific nutrition goals
  • Develop thorough and cost-efficient meal plans that include healthy foods and meet nutrition goals
  • Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans as needed
  • Counsel patients on the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases in individual and group settings
  • Translate nutrition science into understandable, practical eating advice
  • Keep up with the latest nutritional science research
  • Provide services in accordance with company guidelines, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Prepares and reviews patient histories and obtains data through interviews
  • Maintains detailed, legible and confidential medical records after each patient visit in accordance with established protocols
  • Codes encounter forms according to time of the visit, procedures performed and pertinent ICD-codes
  • Attends internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences and participates on task forces or committees, as necessary and/or required by company
  • Performs all duties and services in full compliance with Company standards of care as well as all policies and procedures
  • Follows Company Standards of Customer Service Behavior
  • Participates in Quality Improvement (QI) Initiatives
  • Complies with Attendance & Punctuality Policy
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Dietitian licensure/certification in California.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (preferred).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is high to moderate.
