Full Time

The Sauk Prairie School District is looking to fill our Food Service Courier/Custodian position. As courier, this position receives products for the district's production kitchen and sends food items to all school district buildings in an efficient, safe and timely manner. As custodian, this position performs general cleaning/housekeeping and any related work as well as operate and maintain school facilities in an orderly manner and to keep them safe from the elements.

Scheduled Hours: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm (Monday through Friday)

Essential Functions:

1. Observe and abide by safety rules and regulations in all areas
2. Lift heavy food trays, supplies, materials or equipment in and out of the cube truck as well as stocking shelves
3. Conducts physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses
4. Accurately counts, weighs and measures food products needed for outlying schools
5. Coordinates the product delivery to all sites ensuring food safety and timely delivery to afford quality food service to all customers
6. Assists with ordering and serves as a backup when production assistant is not available to order
7. Prepares and maintains food safety and sanitation records in compliance with USDA regulations (such as receiving reports and temperature logs)
8. Keeps food storage areas clean, organized and safe following a FIFO rotation
9. Sweep, mop, scrub, seal, burnish and wax floors and clean and sanitize other areas as assigned
10. Assist in snow removal as needed
11. Operate school vehicles and all custodial equipment
12. Maintain building security (lock doors, change lights, etc.)
13. Make minor repairs and maintenance projects, such as light fixtures, equipment and furniture repairs, including some plumbing and electrical repairs
14. Setup rooms, gym area or outside fields for activities as well as bleacher setup and takedown as needed
15. Other duties as assigned
