Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Food Manager to oversee our food production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the production process, production crew, product inventories, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all positions in the Production Room
- Conduct product inventories and maintain par levels
- Ensure production crew is on task and identify and report any problem areas
- Oversee production schedule to meet production targets and deadlines
- Recommend and assist the Team Lead in hiring, disciplinary action, paperwork and scheduling
- Complete all assigned paperwork daily
- Ensure product specifications are followed
- Perform and report product yield test for each production run
- Reconcile inputs and outputs daily to ensure proper lot coding and inventories
- Coordinate ingredient and product ordering as needed on a daily and/or weekly basis
- Monitor finished product and perform quality control
- Control labor costs through productivity
- Communicate effectively with company leadership as well as all other departments; proactively addressing areas of concern
- Food safety as it’s related to the position
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills
- Organizational and computer skills
- Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Must be able to proactively and effectively communicate processing results with all levels in the Company
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food industry specifically relating to quality and production
