About the job

The Nordic PSD team is looking for a Sr Engagement Manager to join our office in Oslo and work with our Public and Healthcare Customers in Nordic. As an Engagement Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of consulting services opportunity assignments, forecasting revenue and identifying resource requirements for proposed services engagements. You will lead sales efforts for consulting services including development and delivery approaches for different solutions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sales staff, customers, internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful positioning of consulting services with a consistent message communicated to our customers and/or business partners.

As a Sr Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Developing proposals and value propositions for Professional Services engagements from inception through delivery for new and upgraded services.
  • Establishing ongoing, strong relationships with customers and SAS stakeholders (Delivery, Sales, Customer Advisory, Education, Technical Support…) to manage expectations and support long term partnerships to drive a roadmap of services opportunities
  • Creating a vision and articulating the value of professional services to customer stakeholders via several methods including preparing and delivering presentations at senior management levels
  • Resolving conflict between the proposal team and other organizational units in a satisfactory manner, including engaging management as necessary
  • Managing services related revenue target including opportunity pipeline/funnel development and management and forecasting signed services revenue and resource requirements for proposed services engagements
  • Proactively developing services sales strategies to drive software independent services revenue and participate in services opportunity review sessions with account teams and senior management
  • Maintaining an individual training plan on key SAS technology and solutions together with an awareness of current services capabilities and offers as well as create new offers that address customer requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in service sales, business development and consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of strategic sales techniques and will be able to analyse and evaluate territory dynamics to develop and implement a sales plan.
  • Experience and network in Public Sector
  • As the successful candidate you will be good at problem-solving and have conflict resolution negotiation, decision making and interpersonal skills.
  • You will be able to initiate and lead projects coupled with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Ideally, you will have a good knowledge of SAS solutions and services, architecture and resources, but this is not essential.
  • Right to work in Norway
