Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the dietary department and ensuring the provision of high-quality meals and nutrition services to our patients. Your role will involve budgeting, patient assessment, health coaching, and supervising the dietary staff. Duties: - Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of patients in accordance with dietary guidelines and restrictions - Conduct patient assessments to determine their dietary requirements and develop individualized care plans - Ensure the proper preparation, presentation, and delivery of meals to patients - Monitor food production processes to maintain quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations - Oversee the ordering and inventory management of food and supplies - Provide health coaching to patients on proper nutrition, including guidance on special diets such as tube feeding or assisted living - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate dietary services with overall patient care plans - Conduct diagnostic evaluations of patients' nutritional status and make appropriate recommendations for dietary interventions - Supervise and train dietary staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques, portion control, and sanitation practices Requirements: - Proven experience as a Dietary Manager or in a similar role within a healthcare setting - In-depth knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets - Strong budgeting skills to effectively manage resources within the dietary department - Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals - Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate care plans - Familiarity with health coaching techniques to educate patients on proper nutrition habits - Experience in supervising and training staff members within a dietary department We offer competitive compensation packages based on qualifications and experience.
