SAP NS2 is seeking an Azure Sr. DevOps Engineer to join their team. The individual will be responsible for the following:

• Design and implement cloud solutions which are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable and cost optimized.
• Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services.
• Write application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.
• Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning and operating client test as well as production environments.
• Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts.
• Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.
• Responsible for IT infrastructure maintenance and management, which comprises hardware, software, network, storages, virtual and remote assets, and control over cloud data storage.
• Planning and implementation of data and storage management solutions in Azure (SQL Azure, Azure files, Queue storage, Blob storage).
• Work with developers to identify necessary Azure resources and automate their provisioning.
• Document automation processes.
• Create and document disaster recovery plan.
• Work with development team and key stake holders to create plan for monitoring Azure resources.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to capture, assess, and derive DevOps requirements.
• This is a shift position (8 hours) and requires some oncall work.
• Experienced in DevOps Complete life cycle planning, delivery, and strategy, along with cloud computing and technology solutions on Azure.
• Candidate needs to be hands on in Azure Development, worked on Azure web application, App services, Azure storage, Azure SQL Database and Virtual machines.
• The ideal candidate must be familiar with application deployment, single sign-on, VPN.
•  Proven experience troubleshooting complex cloud environments systems.
•  Experience working in environments with various Azure based PaaS & SaaS services (Data Lake, Azure AD, SQL DW, Machine Learning, Data Factory, etc.).
•  Experience managing Microsoft Azure environments (VM’s, NSG’s, Resource Groups).
•  Windows and preferably Linux administration experience.
•  Knowledge in cloud security (SOC, PCI, NIST).
•  High degree of networking knowledge (protocols, virtual networks, subnets, firewalls).
•  Strong scripting experience (Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
•  Understanding and application of methodologies like ITIL, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and SRE.
•  Delivering value for the business is your priority – which means a balance between security, functionality, and speed.
•  Ensuring best practices for both IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions is a priority.
•  Infrastructure as code (IaC) isn’t an afterthought, but a starting place.
•  You design and implement cost saving measures into solutions.
•  Being part of an agile/scrum team that crosses functional boundaries.
•  You have a natural desire to mentor team members.
•  Hands-on firewall and load balancer experience.
•  Experience with a SOC or PCI audit (or both).
•  A willingness to pitch in on additional tasks.

Qualifications: 

• Azure infrastructure / DevOps, 5 years
• Azure Certification
• Microsoft Azure Security: 4 years (Preferred)
• Storage & Virtualization (VMware/vSphere): 5 years (Preferred)
• Computer Science of Information Systems Degree or 7 years' experience in lieu of degree. 
• Good experience working in MSP environment
• Must have provided tier 1- 2 support
• Experience deploying of application / Web applications
• Manage Web Infrastructure
• Manage the virtualization process using VMware, vSphere
• Manage Azure cloud environments
• Hardware and Software troubleshooting
• Proficient with automation scripting – PowerShell and Bash
• Network configurations – LAN and WAN (Local vSphere)
• Security solutions
• Setup VPN
• Experience in configuring SAN storage solutions
• Firewall experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Preference given to candidates near the D.C Metro Area, but also considering remote, US-based candidates.
• While the position will mostly be remote, must be able to come into the Herndon, VA office when needed.
