Manages the DevOps team to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software applications and infrastructure. Provides direction across development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance while ensuring alignment with business and technology goals. Oversees and continuously improves build, packaging, and deployment pipelines to optimize service delivery throughout the full development lifecycle. Guides the implementation of automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, and monitoring. Experienced with network infrastructure, database, cloud and data center operations, and security protocols. Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows OS. Understands AWS and other services. Experience with programming and scripting with languages like Python, Perl, Bash, PHP, Java, SQL, or C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
