Technical Project Manager

Job Purpose:

Provides technical direction and oversight to the Manufacturing and Engineering teams supporting the production of highly complex Printed Circuit Boards. 

Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for reviewing customer specifications and understanding unique requirements associated with the products we build.

· Technical Project Manager will work with the Front End Engineering team to develop process instructions and tooling required to build each specific product set.

· Material selection, design tolerances and process capabilities must all be understood and accounted for.

· Provides oversight and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in the manufacture of Printed Circuit Boards.

· Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for the timely completion of job assignments.

· Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations. Assists employees in adhering to set work procedures. 

· Responsible for establishing and implementing an employee cross training program to maximize production thru put while minimizing labor expense.

· Uses knowledge of machine capacities and equipment performance to complete production schedules on time. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

· Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase department efficiency. Analyzes and resolves production issues and is responsible for moving jobs through production to meet technical, quality and OTD requirements. 

Education and Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years related experience.

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Prefer Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering. 

· Must be able to anticipate potential problems, both internal and external, to the specific product set in production.

· Must possess the ability to lead and give clear direction to others.

· Program/Project management experience desired with a strong ability to communicate with the end customer and the management team..

· Experience with Genesis, inCAM, Xact.

· Ability to use strong problem solving skills to make sound technical decisions based on experience, knowledge and logical thinking.

· Understanding of industry standard specifications such as IPC and military as they relate to PWB's.

· Knowledgeable in program management, scheduling and statistical process control methods. 

· Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range (annual): $81,000 - $105,000
