We are in search of a seasoned Presales Solution Architect / Manager with a focus on the public sector. The successful candidate will spearhead our IT solution and presales initiatives, specifically targeting State, Local, and Education (SLED) clients. This role involves direct collaboration with client accounts and our sales procurement team, utilizing a deep understanding of cloud services, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, with a particular emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

*This position can be based from a home office in the US (west coast), or at our beautiful headquarters in Honolulu, Hawaii.

*Business travel will be requested (~30%).

Specific duties

  • Design IT solutions for SLED clients, emphasizing AWS cloud services.
  • Lead pre-sales discussions, aligning IT solutions with client needs.
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership teams on procurement strategies and operations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technical solution features and technologies, advocating for the adoption of innovative solutions that can benefit our clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in IT solution sales and client engagement positions.
  • Proven track record in IT consulting and presales within the public sector.
  • Expertise in cloud services, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Expertise in Software Engineering.
  • Strong background in both IT service consulting and software product sales.
  • Direct experience working with public sector or government clients, including familiarity with government compliance and security standards.
  • Experienced in Cloud services including AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Expertise in AWS data services (e.g., Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS) and cloud architecture principles.
  • Expertise in data migration strategies and data security.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • AWS certifications are preferred.
