Part Time Academic and Vocation Advisor
Location: Broomfield, Colorado
Work Environment: Outpatient Treatment Center
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm to 7:00pm

- You will coordinate the development of our clients’ education or vocational component within the program. You will help them set and achieve ambitious goals for grade improvement and job attainment, guiding them toward a brighter future.
- You will conduct group sessions and individual sessions when necessary, providing vital mentorship and life skills support to adolescents and young adults. You will use your experience and expertise to empower them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
- You will supervise the room’s setting, ensuring clients are making progress and staying focused on their goals. You will be a vigilant and supportive presence for their journey to success.
- You will serve as a vital link between our clients, their referral sources, parents, and educational or work institutions. You will communicate effectively and facilitate a seamless path toward a brighter future.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience – Must have experience working with clients from the age of 13 to 30
- Proven experience providing mentoring, academic , vocation and life skills support
- You have familiarity or experience with 504 plans/IEPs, and you are willing to attend academic meetings for advocacy purposes when requested by clients.
- You have the skills and experience to provide support and guidance for our teen clients (age 13-18) and our young adult clients (age 18-30) in various areas, such as math, English, exam prep, writing essays, job or college applications, college level essays or test prep, working on job presentations, interview prep, resume reviews, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have a passion for helping clients who have a history of substance use disorders and mental health disorders to catch up with their peers and achieve their academic and career goals.
- You can partner with our clinical team to help our clients reach tangible benchmarks toward their academic and career growth and track their progress and outcomes.
- A teacher certification is not required, but it is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree is required
- Masters Degree in Behavioral Health Science is strongly preferred
