Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Chantilly, Virginia 

Work Environment: Medical Detox | Residential Treatment Center 

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (on call as needed for emergencies) 

Compensation: $23.50 Hourly 

About The Role: 

As a Maintenance Technician at Sandstone Care your role goes beyond fixing and repairing; it’s about creating a safe haven that supports recovery and well-being. 

Your expertise in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and landscaping not only keeps our facilities in top condition but also ensures a comforting and dignified space for those on their journey to recovery. You’ll be an integral part of a team that values diligence, compassion, and skill.

In this role, you will navigate the delicate balance of maintaining a therapeutic environment while performing essential maintenance tasks. Your sensitivity to our clients’ experiences is as important as your technical abilities. By closely managing tools and respecting confidentiality, you safeguard our clients’ path to recovery, making your work not just a job, but a mission.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction/maintenance required.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions or outstanding violations.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfort working on ladders required.
• Strong problem-solving skills a must
• Must be an independent worker with excellent communication skills, both with their supervisor and with adolescent clients they may encounter.
• Experience working in a high pace environment requiring attention to detail.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office productivity suite a plus
