This position will include elements of technical projects or scientific research and includes assisting in resolution of problems, designing new facilities, assessing current and future threats, presentation of results, and preparation of reports. In this role you will also support the Department Manager in strategic and scientific advisory roles for assessment of risks to components and systems in the environments mentioned above, including creating plans to mitigate the risks. You will collaborate with sponsors, which includes various DoD and DOE agencies, participating universities and national laboratories. Key functions of this role include: * Supporting the design and analysis of future high voltage and electromagnetic systems. * Collaborating with sponsors from defense and National security programs. * Providing technical guidance to assess threats to systems in extreme environments
