General Purpose:

The Food Runner at the Marina Bar & Grill located at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, is responsible for delivering food to guests and/or employees in the beach or pool deck area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties:

• Food Preparation and Assembly:

• Construct specific food items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Cut fruit and prepare salad essentials, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Stock the pantry area before and after each shift, ensuring an adequate supply of necessary items.

• Food Delivery and Support:

• Deliver food orders to guests' tables and provide assistance to servers as needed.
• Support servers by clearing tables, removing trays and baskets, and assisting with general table bussing.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a friendly work attitude.

• General Kitchen Clean-up and Maintenance:

• Assist with general kitchen clean-up, including trash removal and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Perform various duties as specified by the Manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Cooperate with fellow workers during busy periods of service, maintaining composure and teamwork.

• Other Duties:

• Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Manager to contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Beach Club operations.

Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational skills to ensure efficient food preparation and delivery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a friendly attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to assist in various areas of the Beach Club.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.

Physical Requirements:

• Most work tasks are performed outdoors in the natural elements.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours in length as well as walk in the sand.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
• Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. if needed.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
