Overview:
Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Clerk to join our team. The Housekeeping Clerk will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and guest readiness of our resort accommodations, including hotels, condos, and rental homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily housekeeping tasks and schedules based on guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Maintain clear and efficient communication with housekeeping staff, front office, and maintenance departments to ensure timely resolution of guest and staff requests.
• Use the property management system to track room status and update cleaning progress.
• Conduct inventory checks and ensure that all housekeeping carts and storerooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist in the training of new housekeeping staff on protocols and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on housekeeping operations.
• Ensure all areas meet the resort’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Report any maintenance or guest issues to the relevant department promptly.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning projects as required.
• Assist in dispatch as needed to coordinate staff and respond to urgent cleaning or maintenance requests.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously during working hours.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling are required to manage cleaning tasks and inventory.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and adhere to safety protocols.
• Must be able to navigate stairs and work in varying climates including indoor and outdoor settings.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in using computers and property management systems.
