Sana Lake Recovery is Hiring a Peer Recovery Coach Near Kansas City, MO

The Company

Sana Lake Recovery Center is the premier substance use recovery facility in the Midwest. Here at Sana Lake Recovery Center our approach is member-centered. We pride ourselves on our approach to both substance use issues and co- occurring mental health issues by providing a personalized and well-rounded approach to recovery. We will evaluate each member’s needs, determine what program would benefit them the most and provide them with the tools they need in order to live a heathier, happier life.

The Role

We are currently looking for Peer Recovery Coaches to join our team. Activities provided by the Peer Specialist emphasize the acquisition, development, and expansion of the rehabilitation skills needed to move forward in substance use or co-occurring recovery. Interventions are built on the unique relationship between the Peer Specialist, the individual served, and his or her family unit. Peer Support Specialists will conduct individual sessions and help to develop written recovery plan with member to follow after discharge from residential treatment. They will also connect members with support groups/12-step meetings in their community and conduct follow up phone calls in order to support continuity of care and transition to next program.

The Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

  • Self identify as a present or former primary client of substance use services.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Certified as a Peer Support through the Missouri Credentialing Board
  • Valid State of Missouri Class E Driver’s License
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • CPI Certified

All candidates who have received a written offer of employment will be required to undergo background check and drug testing.
