Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled General Laborers to join our team at Harzell Lumber in Kirksville, MO. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for various duties including assembling, working in a warehouse environment, stacking and sorting wood materials, using hand tools, and utilizing mechanical knowledge.

General Laborer Shift / Compensation :

Shift : 6a-4pm (approximately.. may vary from day to day)

General Laborer Duties :

• Stacks lumber in pile down according to specie, grade and length by reading markings on board, following verbal instructions, or tag / orders.
• Operate power tools and machinery to complete tasks
• Work in a fast pace setting
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials as needed
• Follows all safety policies and practices while working around heavy machinery including the lumber handling machine and fork lifts.
• Utilize hand tools to perform tasks such as measuring and cutting materials

General Laborer Requirements

• Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day, continuously lift 20-30lbs, twisting, bending, and moving along an assembly line.
• Ability to pass a Drug Screen and 7 year background check
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to speak fluent spanish
• Good attendance and the ability to work with a team well
• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot or cold)
