Are you looking for an opportunity to take your career to the next level while making your community a better place? You can do all that and more as a corpsmember at the San Jose Conservation Corps. Our paid year-long job training program lets you develop professional skills that will set you up for success. You will get hands-on experience and training in one or more of the following areas:
Environmental Projects corpsmembers gain natural resource skills by working with land management agencies. This is the place to be if you love working outside and getting your hands dirty in landscaping or infrastructure projects, there’s even the opportunity to learn how to use power tools like chainsaws.
Zero Waste corpsmembers collect and recycle items like tires, mattresses, containers and electronic waste. They also rescue food from local grocery stores, compost food waste and do zero waste outreach. If you’re passionate about the environment and want to reduce the waste in our landfills this position is a great fit.

Qualifications:
• Must be between the ages of 18-27 years old
• No prior work experience necessary.
• No minimum education required
• Driver's license not required.
Desired Skills:
Must be able to follow directions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Ability to lift 25lbs, possibly more.
San Jose Conservation Corps Charter School develops the personal, professional and academic skills of young adults in Silicon Valley to prepare them for a family-sustaining career. Corpsmembers in the workforce development program gain skills in green-collar jobs while students at the Charter School receive personalized attention to earn their high school diploma. Corpsmembers complete projects in natural resource conservation, zero waste operations, and tiny house construction, contributing to a more resilient community and environment.
