Your role as an Associate, Consumer Insights: 

You will be an end-to-end contributor to the Padres’ 2024 market research initiatives by programming surveys, uncovering fan insights, and delivering actionable recommendations to research stakeholders. You will also contribute to the broader Padres Business Strategy & Analytics team as you gain exposure to pricing, reporting, and database marketing while developing new skills in SQL and Tableau. This part-time role is well-suited for those looking to build office experience in their transition to civilian and/or professional roles, current students with flexible schedules, and recent graduates. 

All the responsibilities we will trust you with: 

• Collaborating on the development and programming of surveys within Qualtrics 
• Collecting and organizing data from survey responses 
• Creating and delivering presentations summarizing survey findings 
• Collaborating with other Padres BS&A employees on routine departmental duties including pricing, list generation, and data visualization 
• Exemplifying our Padres Core Values/Mission Statement: Communication and Collaboration, Progress and Innovation, Accountability and Integrity, and Effort and Results, through building meaningful connections with a diverse fan base and serving as impactful leaders in the San Diego community 
• Other job duties as necessary 

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Familiarity with common Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or their equivalents (Google Docs, Pages, LibreOffice, etc.) 
• Strong attention to detail to avoid and correct typos and errors in public-facing communications 
• Experience working collaboratively with teammates with different backgrounds and expertise 
• Demonstrated time management skills showcasing the ability to work on multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time 

You will be required to meet the following: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
• Able to work at Petco Park for up to 28 hours a week during Padres’ core business hours of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday 
• Being consistent, punctual, and having reliable attendance 
• Minimum physical requirements: Able to sit for prolonged periods of time and occasionally access the ballpark when necessary
• As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check

Pay and additional compensation: 

Per the California pay transparency law, the hourly pay rate for this position is $19.43. Seasonal, non-union employees are subject to the San Diego Living Wage Ordinance and rates will increase accordingly.
