Salem Media Group has an exceptional opportunity for a talented Sales Assistant to join our team. This individual will provide support in sales administration, including presentation preparation, meeting support, contract building in Wide Orbit, digital order fulfillment, copy writing, graphic design, and program guide updates on our website. Ideal candidates will thrive in our fast-paced environment and maintain positive relationships with sales department colleagues as well as with clients and partners. Ideal candidates can view the Sales Assistant position as a path to a Media Strategist/Account Executive position within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and/or process support for sales management and team
• Acts as an extension of the sales team by assisting with sales development needs, sales material creation, marketing communications, sponsorship proposals & recaps
• Generates contract confirmations & reports related to sales activities & revenue data using Wide Orbit
• Handles contracts for Media Strategist, writes and proofreads on-air copy, & submits production orders
• Orders digital campaigns, tracks data, communicates campaign updates and deadlines with the seller
• Plus other duties may be assigned as required depending on station needs such as station events and fill-in work.

Qualifications

• Adapts to shifts in priorities and urgencies
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel & Word
• Possesses working knowlege of graphic design
• Demonstrates ability to learn new systems quickly
• Assumes responsibility & accountability for assignments and tasks
• Actively listens; clearly and effectively conveys information; uses professional telephone skills; demonstrates effective business writing skills; shows excellent grasp of grammar
• Exhibits good interpersonal skills & collaborates with others
• Demonstrates a growth mindset; shows a desire to develop within the company
• Work Experience
• 4-year college degree preferred
