Role Summary:

The content specialist drives the strategy of marketing features across Site and Email channels through a highly cross functional role between E-Commerce Category Growth, Site Merchandising, and Creative stakeholders. This specialist will oversee the site and email content roadmap and execution of specific content areas of business and marketing campaigns (digital editorial events, Saks.com gift guides, DEI). They will also take a supporting role in larger Creative and Marketing content initiatives under the Content Senior Manager, such as content ideation within seasonal fashion and brand message campaigns in print, site/email, and paid/organic social, process improvements, and reporting.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of digital retail marketing/strategy experience providing a foundation in ecommerce KPIs. Experience working in a content or ecommerce merchandising role is preferred
• Displays strong analytical and problem-solving ability to help guide site and email placement decisions
• Follows fashion, pop cultural and customer trends in with a strong understanding of content in the competitive luxury retail landscape to develop new, innovative marketing ideas
• Must have proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and v-lookup) to support reporting and administrative needs. Experience with Project Management tools (Wrike a plus), Google Suite, and reporting systems (Adobe Analytics a plus) is preferred
• Attention to detail, strong written communication/presentation skills, and a strong desire to see projects through

Role Description:

• Own content category focuses of Women’s RTW and Beauty in day-to-day responsibilities:
• Quarterly site/email roadmapping, inclusive of baseline and coop programs
• Weekly content planning timeline (create production deck template shells for the Editorial Fashion team to populate with product, determine shot counts for each story for Shoot Production to schedule talent, review internal mockups for accuracy)
• Work directly with a variety of cross functional team members on planning and execution of content, including the creative, customer retention, merchandising, strategy, media, growth and merchandising teams.
• Responsible for accounting for the objectives of multiples team in site and email content output
• Coach, lead, and review work of Content associates in Saks offices abroad to facilitate daily administrative tasks, reporting, and ad-hoc projects
• Coordinate directly with outside high-touch vendors to preview content for business critical approval on copy and imagery
• Support the Senior Manager of Content alongside co-Content Specialist in developing/enhancing processes, tools, and formats; innovating storytelling; and serving as a point person in various projects
• Key Campaigns, gift guides and special projects (DEI, Fashion Week, Partnerships)
• Performance analysis for tactical briefs
• Site initiatives (SEO, personalization)
• Analyze business on a weekly basis
• Site Real Estate / The Edit reporting results
• Email Reports
• Competitive research
