Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced to join our medical office team. The will be responsible for various administrative tasks related to medical billing, coding, and record-keeping. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, medical office systems, and coding procedures. Duties: - Review and analyze medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate medical codes (e.g., ICD-10, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures - Process medical billing claims accurately and in a timely manner - Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information - Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for coding purposes - Assist with medical collections as needed Experience: - Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting - Proficient in medical terminology and coding procedures - Familiarity with medical office systems and electronic health records (EHR) - Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance claim submission - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and record-keeping Skills: - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Strong analytical skills for reviewing medical records and identifying coding errors or discrepancies - Proficient in using coding software and tools for accurate code assignment - Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies Note: This is a paid position.
