Position Description:
Saint Mary?s Hall is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program for students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and promoting healthy lifestyles among students.
Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Development:
? Design and implement a well-rounded physical education curriculum that aligns with institutional standards and educational goals.
? Create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities.
2. Instruction and Class Management:
? Deliver effective and interactive physical education lessons to students across different grade levels as assigned.
? Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and physical activity.
3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
? Evaluate students' physical abilities and track their progress throughout the school year.
? Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents to support student development.
4. Equipment and Facility Management:
? Manage and maintain sports equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
? Coordinate with relevant staff for the use of indoor and outdoor spaces for physical education activities.
5. Health Promotion:
? Educate students on the importance of physical fitness, health, and overall well-being.
? Organize and promote school-wide health and wellness initiatives.
6. Collaboration:
? Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administrators to integrate physical education into the overall school curriculum.
? Attend and actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Will require travel to various events to include overnight trips.
• Will work day shifts / weekends.
• Works in a temperature-controlled office setting as well as the outdoors to include any number of elements.
• Operates various types of office equipment and athletic equipment.
• Work in a rigorous academic environment dealing with a wide variety of physical and intellectual challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
