Position Introduction

The Summer Desk Worker must have the necessary skills to handle the duties of our very rapidly growing summer season. They will manage guest services, including, check in/check out, daily requests, daily census, evaluations, and coordinate event service requests with campus partner agencies, including Security, General Services, SMC Food Services.

The Summer Desk Worker will answer all camp inquiries collected by phone, mail, e-mail web or walk-in, and Manage camp inquiries from mail, web submissions, and phone. This position will Implement camp forms; such as health, consent for treatment, liability, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in College
• Must be able to manage confidential information in accordance with College policy.
• Minimum of two years of work experience 
• Demonstrated ability to organize work efficiently and productively
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to deal with busy registration days and check out days 
• Demonstrated interpersonal and public relations skills

Schedule

20-30hr (night coverage) / Some weekends / starts mid-June training, and working in July (2-week position)
