POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide leadership, strategic direction, management. grant writing and coordination of all fundraising efforts.
Create fundraising strategies that increase the organization’s support from individuals, parishes, lay associations, corporations, foundations and other sources. Play a key role in identifying, cultivating and soliciting potential donors for major and annual gifts. Work in close collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior staff, the members of the Board and key volunteer leadership to achieve the fundraising goals of the organization.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
This individual will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least five (5) years experience and proven experience
- A record of measurable results in organizing and implementing such activities as:
major gifts, annual gifts, grant writing, corporate and foundation giving, direct mail
and special events
- A successful track record of personal identifying, cultivating and soliciting individual
donors, corporations and foundations
- Ability to effectively gain the respect and support of various constituencies,
including board and staff members, donors and foundation and civic leaders
- Demonstrate experience in managing people and budgets, ability to work in a
hands-on environment with limited resources
- Must be computer literate, knowledge of capital campaigns and E-tapestry
- Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Must demonstrate initiative – be a self starter with job duties
