Description
The qualified applicant will support the Space Warfighting Analysis Center’s (SWAC) Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) in Reston, VA with anticipated travel in support of the SWAC’s priorities.The Multi-Domain Analysis and Integration Analyst applicant will work closely with the SWAC program offices, Department of the Air Force Headquarters, and the Joint Staff to streamline cross-organizational processes, model operational scenarios, and integrate analysis at all classification levels. The qualified candidate will support SWAC Force Design through foundational operations research, modeling, simulation, and analysis practices. The applicant must have a technical depth and breadth of space capabilities, an understanding of terrestrial operations and their use of space services, and the modeling/analysis background to apply this knowledge.The applicant should be able to understand complex analysis to communicate and integrate analysis efforts at multiple classification levels on a recurring basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Support SWAC modeling and analysis efforts, integrate into a unified analysis framework
·Serve as the SWAC’s primary interface with DAF, Joint Staff, and other DoD organizations on modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts; integrate external data, models, and tools into SWAC processes
·Communicate external analysis capabilities and efforts to SWAC stakeholders
·Represent SWAC modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts to external organizations, advocate for proper representation of SWAC data and models in external analysis
·Capture cross-domain operational scenarios in Systems Modeling Language
·Conduct enterprise-level analysis to feed SWAC force design prioritization
·Assist in the maintenance and standardization of a SWAC Digital Engineering Library
·Support the SWAC Tech Director in developing/maturing analytic standards and processes
·Support priority analysis taskers from DAF Headquarters
·Document SWAC analysis processes and tools
·Translate complex technical information into products that communicate to non-subject matter experts
·Develop and prepare correspondence and other documentation (formal letters, position papers, reports)
To successfully execute the above duties and responsibilities, the applicant should have soft skills such as:
·Ability to quickly create decision quality materials for senior leaders
·Understanding complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audience
·Having strong communication skills (technical writing, developing presentations, etc.)
Qualifications
·STEM Bachelor’s Degree (STEM Master’s Degree desired) Min 14 years of overall experience
·10 years operations research analysis experience
·7 years space operations or space acquisition experience
·4 years Joint Operational Planning / Joint integration experience (desired)
·Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and Systems Modeling Language (desired)
·SAASS or Space Weapons School Graduate (desired)
·Experience with DoD, IC, and Commercial Satellite systems in SCI/SAP environment
·SCI and Special Access eligibility required
