SAHARA ROSE is a local licensed skincare manufacturer dedicated to creating fresh, plant-based skincare and body-care products in small batches. We are in search of a Quality Control Technician to play a crucial role in our production process.

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly reliable and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you'll ensure that our products meet high standards of quality, safety, and performance. We're seeking someone with experience in a quality setting, keen attention to detail, great communication skills, and a passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility. This role requires strong organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality control inspections on incoming raw materials, during production, and on finished goods.
• Perform physical and microbiological tests on samples to ensure they meet specifications.
• Record and analyze data from inspections and tests, reporting any deviations or issues.
• Collaborate with production and management to address quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science
• Experience working in a laboratory environment within the personal care industry
• 2 years of quality control experience, preferably in cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceuticals.
• Familiarity with SOPs, cGMPs, and quality control principles.
• Experience with testing methods and equipment, such as pH meters and microbial testing.
• Courses or a Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science (Preferred)

Position Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Assist in all activities related to product development and production.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all quality standards.
• Perform routine tests on batches and products, including pH measurement.
• Ensure bulk batches, finished products, and raw materials meet product specifications and quality standards, maintaining proper records.
• Organize and maintain laboratory cabinets for product standards and bulk batches.
• Oversee incoming deliveries, review packing lists, and update inventories.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of work performed.
• Implement safety measures and communicate issues promptly.
• Notify management of supply inventory needs.
• Maintain a clean laboratory environment and equipment.
• Communicate research, batching, and stability issues effectively.
• Perform office responsibilities as needed.
• Follow safety measures and lift heavy objects when necessary (up to 50 pounds).

Qualifications:

• Minimum age: 18 years old
• Work authorization: United States (Required)
• Language: English (Required)
• 2 years of quality control experience, preferably in cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceuticals.
• Compensation is based on experience.

Hours:

• Flexible schedule
• Approximately 20 hours per week to start with potential for growth
