JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Manager position will be responsible for managing the reporting and administrative function of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center – Northeast and assisting the Director as a liaison between the headquarters of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages performance criteria set by the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center headquarters to meet business goals and objectives and to ensure compliance through:
    • Salesforce.com utilization
    • Financial compliance and reporting
    • Document and process control
  • Oversee all financial / accounting activities and reporting.
  • Reconcile consulting and training projects done by regional offices and ensure that invoices generated by Headquarters are accurate and sent in a timely manner.
  • Manage and establish standard work procedures for the entire operational process (i.e. proposal development, subcontractor requests, etc.)
  • Coordinate and finalize client proposals for Business Solutions Manager and sub-contractors.
  • Manage team performance and schedules for projects to ensure all objectives can be completed within the grant timeline and budget.
  • Create reports and provide data analysis for management as it relates to Federal and State reporting requirements and business development efforts.
  • Create and document processes for operations, oversee the completion of grant requirements, and report grant activities as necessary.
  • Ensure that all team, State, and Federal goals are on schedule and reconcile discrepancies accordingly.
  • Gather, update, and document information from clients and other regional offices.
  • Assist The Center Northeast team in the preparation of events and trainings. Attend and assist in Northeast team events.
  • Assisting members of the Business Solutions team with various tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direct supervision from the Director of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center - Northeast

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration and relevant work experience.
  • Personal computer proficiency. Excellent typing, grammar, and spelling skills.
  • High proficiency using Excel – spreadsheets, formulas, graphs, and tracking.
  • Excellent customer service skills – friendly/ pleasant and responsive to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of files and records.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to handle differing situations and problems in the work routine by exercising judgment based on established policies and procedures.
  • Experience and ability to positively interact with a diverse campus community.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using Salesforce.com
  • Experience with grants
  • 2 years in accounting and financial reporting,
