Safeway Medical Supply currently has an opportunity for an Experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This role will include computer hardware and software configuration, troubleshooting and other technical aspects, inventory management, shipping, and receiving.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU LIVE WITHIN 25 MILES OF 77006 AND YOU HAVE AT LEAST THREE YEARS OF INVENTORY CONTROL EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities:

  • Hardware configuration
  • Hardware troubleshooting & resolution
  • Lightspeed Software configuration
  • Shipping & Receiving
  • Documentation of hardware and software inventory
  • Physical Inventory
  • Management of rental hardware
  • Management of supply orders

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Lightspeed experience is a plus, or NikoHealth
  • Comfortable with working with various inventory-related software, i.e., Excel, etc,
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Computer hardware and software analysis
  • Ability to adjust priorities and changes

CONTINUING JOB SUMMARY:

The primary functions of the Inventory Control Specialist are to receive incoming FedEx and UPS deliveries, process incoming retail inventory orders accurately, and process outgoing UPS shipments. The ICS reports directly to the Store Manager. The ICS is expected to be highly organized and pay strong attention to detail, ensuring that retail orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all processes and records involved in shipping/receiving for Safeway Medical Supply.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Work with store management to determine the most efficient layout for the inventory to be operationally successful.
  • Be proactive in Loss Prevention by keeping the area and equipment clean and well-organized and maintaining proper procedures. Work with store management to address Loss Prevention concerns.
  • Communicate and resolve shipping discrepancies with outside vendors.
  • Verify and process incoming and outgoing store inventory transfers.
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments via UPS and FedEx.
  • Qualifications
  • Previous experience with retail receiving preferred, particularly with Lightspeed POS System
  • Previous experience with UPS and FedEx mailing systems is preferred.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize our point of sale and inventory system through one-on-one training.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to safely lift boxes up to 60 lbs.
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirty

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.
  • Constant use of hands/arms/upper body to handle, control, or feel objects, stock merchandise, move displays, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds unassisted. .
  • Ability to communicate effectively using active listening skills and convey information, suggestions, and inspiration to guests.
