Safety Management is Hiring a Project Manager Near Hebron, KY

Safety Management Group is seeking a local Project Manager in Hebron, Kentucky.

The key function is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel.

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall project schedule and budget, including management reporting.
  • Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, budget, safety, and current open issues.
  • Monitor contractor performance as to cost and schedule performance tracking.
  • Development of detailed user criteria documentation for the building expansion activities.
  • Manage the review of specifications, utility standards, drawing reviews, and coordination with customers.
  • Monitor and coordinate site visits and responses to contractor inquiries.
  • Monitor delivery and review of shop drawings and submittals.
  • Attend job site meetings with contractors and consultants to monitor progress on activities.
  • Provide an initial review of vendor and contractor payment applications, validating actual project progress against approved schedule of values.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and make recommendations regarding proposed change directives & change orders.
  • Oversee the contractor’s Quality Control program and ensure Quality Control procedures adhere to the plans.

Requirements

  • Construction project management experience
  • 5-10 years of experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in the construction manufacturing facilities
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to Georgetown, Cincinnati, and other locations in the USA
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Mgmt., or any other relevant/related degree
  • Ability to work overtime - Max. 10 hours a week based on business needs
  • Experience with building facilities and office buildings

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of project scheduling and estimating
  • General understanding of construction safety programs and requirements
  • Software capabilities: AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio

Physical Demands of the job may include:

  • Moving about long distances
  • Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
  • Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
  • Working in extreme weather
  • Being exposed to loud noises
  • Wearing personal protective gear correctly
