What You’ll Get to Do
As a Project Coordinator at STEP, you will support the project management team in a variety of ways with a career path that can take you in multiple directions. Project Coordinators help Project Managers execute on large, complex projects and can own project delivery for shorter duration projects. Project Coordinators learn and refine their Project Management skills building up to running smaller projects and initiatives.

  • Be always a team player, raising awareness of risks, while supporting the teams’ design, implementation, and support of our solutions. Willing to jump in and assist with any work efforts or responsibilities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with management, customers, partners, and team members.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the technology and managed services industry; apply this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes.
  • Be a self-starter, eager to learn with a willingness to jump in and assist with any work efforts or responsibilities as needed.
  • Interact effectively with technical personnel and with a wide variety of technical resources.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain appropriate communications with customers on their projects.
  • Conduct project kick-off calls as well as manage internal resources to deliver to our commitments.
  • Handle data grooming, analysis, and reporting tasks related to the projects and programs assigned.
  • Develop project plans, checklists, and budgets to meet established project objectives for smaller, lower risk projects.
  • Own phases or responsibilities within larger projects at the direction of a Project Manager.
  • Maintain schedules of what tasks are required to be completed by what date, as well as of team meetings.
  • Create and execute project work schedules and revise as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedule information to the project team.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Create and provide weekly customer status reports throughout the engagement.
  • Prepare plans in the areas of quality control, risk management, change management, testing and other associated project management areas.
  • Coordinate submission, review, and approval of project deliverables such as requirements documentation (business, functional), technical specifications, test plans and technical interface documents.
  • Travel occasionally as needed (typically less than 10%)
Ideal Candidate’s Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Project Management activities required
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including developing presentations, and editing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as G-Suite cloud services.
  • Experience with MS Project, Connectwise Manage, and/or PowerBI a plus
  • Ability to use SQL, Python, VBA, or other analytic programming languages a plus
This is a remote, work from home position with some travel included as position duties require. Ideal candidates are located in or near Covington, KY & Cincinnati, OH.
